A Foreclosure sale was conducted by First Citizens on February 2,2010 for a 34.89 acre tract on Ivey Road in unincorporated Cobb County. First Citizens submitted the only bid for the property in the amount of $1,533,000.

Georgia Repeals 1973 Securities Act and Adopts New Securities Legislation

In its 2007-08 legislative session, the Georgia General Assembly repealed the Georgia Securities Act of 1973 and replaced it with the Model Uniform Securities Act created by the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws (NCCUSL) in 2002. The new Uniform Securities Act goes into effect on July 1, 2009, making Georgia the 15th state to adopt the Model Act.
